Telling Our Stories: Join us for Renaissance City Choir’s 2019 Cabaret
In the good times and the difficult times, we give comfort and encouragement to one another.
Some of the finest composers, poets, lyricists, authors, and musicians have been and are part of the LGBTQIA+ and allies community. This cabaret will feature the musical, poetic, and prose works of our community as we have sought to make sense of the successes and the challenging times in life.
Our music will feature work from artists such as Elton John, Indigo Girls, Jason Mraz, Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Queen, Jonathan Larson, and others. The poetry and prose will feature work from authors such as Oscar Wilde, Alison Bechdel, James Baldwin, Leslie Feinberg, Truman Capote, Audre Lorde, Tennessee Williams, Alice Walker, Sappho, Dan Savage, Yukio Mishima, and more.
