Join Our 2022 Cabaret!
We are excited to announce our plans to produce a revue and tribute to the late Stephen Sondheim for our 2022 Cabaret! For those who are not familiar, our Cabaret performances typically feature full choir pieces as well as opportunities for solos, duets, and small ensemble pieces.
If you’d like to join us, attend our first rehearsal on February 1, 2022 from 6:45–8:45pm in the Social Hall at East Liberty Presbyterian Church. Please enter and exit only from the Whitfield St entrance of the church.
NOTE: Singers must be fully COVID vaccinated to participate, and wear masks (preferably N95 or comparable masks) at all times while on the premises. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND REHEARSAL.
PLACEMENTS
Our artistic director wishes to hold vocal placements for all singers who wish to participate in order to assess your vocal range and get to know your individual voices.
Placements can take place socially distanced in person at East Liberty Presbyterian Church (February 1 and 3), or virtually via Zoom (Feb 1, 2, and 3). You will sing 1-2 verses from “Frosty the Snowman,” “Happy Birthday,” OR 1-2 minutes from a musical piece of your choosing (you may bring sheet music if you’re attending in person, or sing a capella; your piece does not have to relate to the theme of the show).

As with our holiday semester, our plans remain fluid dependent on the status of the Covid pandemic. At this time, we still plan to hold in person rehearsals on Tuesday evenings in the Social Hall at ELPC beginning February 1, and participants must be fully vaccinated and masked. Thank you for bearing with us as we continue to solidify plans for rehearsals and performances.
